Gum graft cases and procedure

A gum graft is indicated in cases in which the teeth reveal the root due to receding gums. It consists of a surgical procedure with a local anaesthetic using techniques of microsurgery.

In most cases, the periodontics gum tissue should be taken from the palate and grafted onto the area where we wish to cover the root. This is a surgical procedure that is not particularly traumatic with an excellent post-operative period and is virtually pain-free.

Gum graft objectives
